Battery Installation
The Ketodoc testing meter requires a single 1.5 volt (AAA) alkaline battery (included in the box). Please use approved, certified batteries to avoid damaging the meter.
- Open the battery cover.
- Insert and align the battery, as guided.
- Correct installation will trigger the display to activate momentarily and an auditory 'beep'.
- Replace the battery cover.

Changing the date and time
Changing the date and time is an optional feature. Time and/or date adjustment can be made by following this procedure:
- Press and hold both up (▲) and down (▼) buttons at the same time until there is a 'beep' and the display switches on to enter device setup mode.
- The first display will be the year, press up (▲) to increase the year by 1 and down (▼) to confirm.
- The second display will be the day and month, with the month value flashing to indicate it is the value being changed. Press up (▲) to increase the month by 1 and down (▼) to confirm.
- The day value will now be flashing to indicate it is the value to be changes. Press up (▲) to increase the day by 1 and down (▼) to confirm.
- The third display will allow you to toggle between 12 hour and 24 hour time display. Press up (▲) to toggle between the 2 and down (▼) to confirm.
- Next the hour will be flashing and adjustable, up (▲) to increase the hour and down (▼) to confirm.
- Then the minute will be flashing and adjustable, up (▲) to increase the minute and down (▼) to confirm.
- This concludes setting the date and time. The display will show further options outlined below.
Changing the display unit for Glucose readings
After setting the time, the next screen allows you to change between mg/dL and mmol/L. Press up (▲) to toggle between the 2 and down (▼) to confirm.
Toggling the beep sound
Once you've set the display unit for Glucose readings, either "On" or "OFF" is displayed, indicating whether the beep sound is on or off. Press up (▲) to toggle between the 2 and down (▼) to confirm.
Stored test results memory deletion
The screen after sound toggle shows "dEL" and on the bottom right, "no" or "yes" will be flashing to indicate whether you'd like to delete your stored results. Ensure it is set to "no" unless you no longer have a need for your stored results. Press up (▲) to toggle between the 2 and down (▼) to confirm.
Setting your Alarm
Our device allows up to 4 alarms to be set. After the memory screen, "AL1" will be displayed, indicating the 1st of the 4 alarms.
- The bottom right will show "On" or "OFF" to indicate the alarm state. Press up (▲) to change between on or off and down (▼) to confirm.
- If "On" is selected, you may set the hour by pressing up (▲) to increase the alarm hour by 1. Once set, press down (▼) to confirm. Next, the minute will be flashing and can be set in the same way.
- Once Alarm 1 (AL1) is set, you may set alarms 2-4 using the same method.
- Upon configuring all alarms, you will have reached the end of the device setup.
Viewing your stored test results
Your blood Ketone testing meter stores your last 1000 test results, complete with date and time. When the memory is full, the latest result is added to the memory and the outdated result is deleted.
Results by date
- While the device is off, you may enter the memory mode by holding the up (▲) button. The M, memory icon will be displayed alongside the latest result.
- Press up (▲) or down (▼) to scroll through the results, up (▲) to view newer results and down (▼) to view older results.
- "toP" will show for the newest result and "End" will show for the oldest result.
- Once done, hold both up (▲) and down (▼) buttons to switch off the meter.
Average Glucose results over time
- With the meter switched off, hold down (▼) to view average results. The M, memory icon will be displayed alongside the 7-day average result in general mode.
- Press up (▲) or down (▼) to cycle between 14-, 21-, 28-, 60- and 90- day average results stored in each measuring mode in the order of Gen, AC, and PC.
- Hold both up (▲) and down (▼) buttons to switch off the meter.
